Troubleshooting error 70-21
Possible cause 1: The sample was not applied during the time requested by the analyzer.
Discard the strip before starting a new test. Apply the sample when prompted by the analyzer.
Possible cause 2: The sample contains excessive carbon dioxide and needs to be degassed.
Degas sample, then retest.
Possible cause 3: Wine previously tested has seeped into the strip port, affecting the meter's ability to detect sample. Tip: See section 4, “Cleaning the analyzer” in the Sentia User Guide.
- Remove the protective cap that sits over the Sentia strip port.
- Using absorbent, lint free paper, carefully blot up the excess liquid from the inside of the protective cap. Note: While cleaning spills, always keep the strip port pointed downwards to avoid getting liquid into the analyzer.
- Using a new strip of lint free paper each time, continue to insert the paper into the strip port until it comes out clean.
- If the error still persists, let the device dry overnight.
Possible cause 4: Meter contact pins dirty.
Insert and remove a used strip to clean contactors of the meter. Then try a test again.
